The home of the newest blues festival! Brought to you by the Crossroads Blues Society of Northern Illinois, The Byron Tavern Owners Group and the City of Byron, Illinois! Festival proceeds go in part to Crossroads Blues Society's Blues in the Schools Program. The Byron Crossroads Blues Fest is held on the "Crossroads" of Union Street and Second Street Just a block off of Blackhawk Drive/Illinois Routes 2 and 72t in Byron, IL.

BLUES TRAIL MARKER:
Grafton will be honored as the original home of 1920's and 30's Paramount Studios, originally part of the Wisconsin Chair Company. Grafton was the destination for bluesmen of the time to make some of the very first records of the blues. The Grafton Blues Association worked over the past year with the Mississippi Blues Trail organization to make this happen. See all the details in the PRESS RELEASE.

The 7th Annual Madison Area Music Awards took place Saturday, May 8th in the beautiful Capitol Theater located in the Overture Center. This event celebrates Madison's local music across numerous genres, from punk to classical. Over sixty awards were given out this year. Fourteen musical acts graced the Capitol Theater stage for this signature Madison-area event.
This is the MAMA's 7th season in their drive to get musical instruments into kids hands. Their program makes an enormous impact on the music education of our children, especially in these times of shrinking school music programs. The MAMA's mission explains what the program is all about. THE BLUES WON BIG!
Blues musicians, bands and supporters took home 8 awards at the MAMA's including Artist of the Year!
And the best RADIO STATION FOR THE BLUES WORT 89.9 FM won Best Local Radio Station of the Year.
